Legendary local gets boost from USThe company, whose website enables women to design and order customised footwear, has secured $3 million in its first round of funding, from Crunchfund, a US-based venture capital fund which invests in and works with information technology companies, with a focus on seed and early stage investments. It is understood Shoes of Prey will use the new money to expand its social shopping features, broaden its retail presence, and boost its product offerings. Shoes Of Prey’s site lets women customise and order their own personalised pairs of shoes on a web-based 3D design platform that allows them to choose from some four trillion options in size, structure, and design. According to the company, more than 10 million shoes have been designed on Shoes Of Prey, and users have logged more than 20 million minutes designing products on the site since its launch.
